The system sends automatic alarms to local fire-fighting control room when fire, heat, and/or smoke are detected. The 360-degree scan and powerful CCD (charge-coupled device; an electronic memory that records the intensity of light as a variable charge) zoom features of the device allow for better view orientation in the problem area.
